Emberpick

What it does

Half of a mining trip is walking raw ore back to a furnace and waiting on coal. Break iron, gold or copper with the emberpick and the drop comes up as an ingot instead. The block breaks exactly as the game breaks it, so the particles, the experience and your fortune enchantment all work as they always did: whatever fortune gave you is what gets smelted. Hold sneak to mine an ore raw when you want the raw chunk.

How to use it

• ▸Only the emberpick smelts; your other pickaxes still bring up raw ore.
• ▸Ore you did not break yourself, from TNT or a piston, comes up raw.
• ▸Break one of the listed ores and what it drops comes up smelted. Sneak to mine it raw.

How to install

1. Open the downloaded file with Minecraft. It imports both packs on its own.
2. Edit your world and turn the add-on on under Behavior Packs.
3. Its resource pack turns on with it. There is no second pack to find.

Minecraft turns off achievements in any world with a behavior pack on, and warns you when you add one. That is the game’s rule for every add-on, not something this one does.
