What it does

A ladder up eight floors is a long climb and a longer fall. Place a lift plate on each floor, directly above one another, then stand on one and jump to travel to the next plate up, or sneak to drop to the one below. A hop reaches forty-eight blocks and refuses to move you if there is no room to stand at the other end. The plates are ordinary blocks otherwise: they hold up whatever you build on them.

How to use it

• ▸Plates only find each other straight up and down, so stack them in the same column.
• ▸Two plates is a lift; one on its own does nothing.
• ▸Stand on a landing block and jump to travel up to the next one, or sneak to drop to the one below.

How to install

1. Open the downloaded file with Minecraft. It imports both packs on its own.
2. Edit your world and turn the add-on on under Behavior Packs.
3. Its resource pack turns on with it. There is no second pack to find.

Minecraft turns off achievements in any world with a behavior pack on, and warns you when you add one. That is the game’s rule for every add-on, not something this one does.
