Packs on PlayStation: what works

A PlayStation has no way to open a downloaded file, so you cannot import a pack on the console itself. There are two ways to play with one anyway.

We have not checked these steps on this device ourselves yet. They are how Minecraft Bedrock documents pack import; each pack’s page says which device it was checked on.

Join a world that has the pack

  1. On a phone, tablet or Windows PC, import the pack and turn it on in a world.
  2. For a texture pack, edit that world and turn on “Require players to accept resource packs”.
  3. Host the world on that device and join it from the PlayStation. The pack is sent to the console for that world.

Use a Realm

  1. From a phone, tablet or Windows PC, upload a world with the pack turned on to your Realm.
  2. Join the Realm from the PlayStation. Packs on a Realm apply to everyone who joins it.

Skins

Skins from a file cannot be imported on PlayStation. The Dressing Room there only takes skins from the Marketplace and the Character Creator.

Good to know

We have not checked these routes ourselves; they are how Bedrock shares packs between devices. Each pack’s page says which device it was checked on.
