How to install

Install a pack on iPhone and iPad

Download the pack on the iPhone or iPad that has Minecraft on it. Safari saves it to the Downloads folder in the Files app, and Minecraft opens it from there.

We have not checked these steps on this device ourselves yet. They are how Minecraft Bedrock documents pack import; each pack’s page says which device it was checked on.

Import the pack

  1. Tap Download on the pack’s page. If Safari asks, choose Download.
  2. Open the Files app, then Downloads, and tap the file ending in .mcpack or .mcaddon.
  3. Minecraft opens and imports it. If a preview opens instead, tap the Share button and choose Minecraft.
  4. Wait for Minecraft to say the import worked.

After the import

  1. Texture packs: edit your world, open Resource Packs and turn the pack on. To use it everywhere, go to Settings, then Global Resources.
  2. Add-ons: edit your world and turn the pack on under Behavior Packs. Its resource pack comes with it. Minecraft turns off achievements in worlds with a behavior pack.
  3. Skins: open the Dressing Room, choose Classic Skins, find the pack and pick a skin to wear.

Good to know

A pack you import stays on that device. It does not follow your account to another iPhone, iPad or console.

These are the same files as on Android; nothing about the pack changes. We have not yet checked a pack on an iPhone ourselves, and each pack’s page says which device it was checked on.
