Install a pack on Android
Download the pack on the phone or tablet that has Minecraft on it. Keep the file name ending in .mcpack or .mcaddon, then open the file and Minecraft imports it.
We checked these steps on an Android phone running Minecraft Bedrock 1.26.45, with every pack on this site.
If Minecraft is missing from the Open with menu
Open the file from your device’s storage folder instead. The Downloads shortcut in the Files app sometimes shows the file without offering Minecraft as a way to open it.
- Open the Files app and open its side menu.
- Tap your device’s name or Internal storage, then open the Download folder.
- Tap the pack. If asked which app to use, choose Minecraft, then Just once.
- Wait for Minecraft to say the import worked before you pick a world or a skin.
After the import
- Texture packs: edit your world, open Resource Packs and turn the pack on. To use it everywhere, go to Settings, then Global Resources.
- Add-ons: edit your world and turn the pack on under Behavior Packs. Its resource pack comes with it. Minecraft turns off achievements in worlds with a behavior pack.
- Skins: open the Dressing Room, choose Classic Skins, find the pack and pick a skin to wear.
If something looks wrong
“Duplicate pack detected” means Minecraft already has this pack. Look for it under My Packs before downloading again.
If your browser saved the file ending in .zip, rename it to end in .mcpack or .mcaddon and open it again.
