The Gold Stakes Crate is a real bet: gold ingots raining down, emeralds, golden carrots, redstone or arrows, against a falling anvil, a squad of four zombies, a ring of flames, a glass cell, a blast or heavy, slow legs.

The Diamond Stakes Crate is a genuine risk: four diamonds on the jackpot, a diamond pair, eight emeralds, golden apples or a stack of lapis, against a storm of two anvils, a collapse, a zombie horde, a sinkhole that fills with water, a ring of fire or a launch pad.

Each table pays back less than its recipe costs on average, so the crates never inflate a survival economy. Break a crate with a tool that has Silk Touch and it drops unopened, ready to hoard, trade or open together later; any other tool or your hand opens it. Chests, bedrock and command blocks are never changed by a crate's digging, flooding or building.
