What it does

Craft the Basalt Splitter with iron ingots, basalt and sticks. Aim at a basalt block, crouch and use to split up to 6 basalt blocks directly above it. Each broken block drops 1 basalt item and costs 1 durability point; the block you aimed at stays. Reach is 5 blocks, with 384 durability and a 0.6-second cooldown. The column stops at the first gap or block other than basalt. A worn tool breaks fewer blocks. Polished basalt and smooth basalt are not affected.

How to install Basalt Splitter

Activate both the behavior pack and resource pack in your world.
At a crafting table, place basalt between iron ingots across the top row, then place a stick in the center of each remaining row.
Hold the splitter, aim at the basalt block below the column you want to gather, then crouch and use (right-click on Windows, tap Split basalt on touch screens).
Pick up the basalt drops; the block you aimed at remains in place.
