What it does

Aim at the trunk of a tree, crouch and use the Tree Felling Axe. Up to 32 logs of that trunk break at once and drop as logs, and the leaves stay behind to decay and drop saplings as usual. Very big trees may need a second use. Each log uses 1 of the hatchet's 384 durability points.

It only cuts trees that still have their natural leaves nearby, and it can't tell a tree from a wooden build if natural leaves touch the build's logs, so keep it away from log houses. It works on Overworld logs with bark, not stripped logs or Nether stems. Many blocks change at once, so back up your world before you try it.

How to install Tree Felling Axe

Import the .mcaddon, then turn on both packs in your world's settings (Behavior Packs and Resource Packs). No experiments are needed. Needs Minecraft Bedrock 1.26.45 or later.
At a crafting table, put iron ingots in the top left, top middle and middle left, a copper ingot in the top right, and sticks in the center and bottom middle.
Hold the hatchet, aim at a tree trunk up to 5 blocks away, crouch and use it (right-click on Windows, tap Fell tree on touch screens).
Pick up the dropped logs. The message above your hotbar shows how many logs were cut, or says no natural leaves were found and leaves the trunk alone.
