What it does

Craft the pieces at a crafting table and set the room around the Brick Forge Hearth: hang the Iron Chimney Hood above it, pull the Leather Forge Bellows up beside it, set the Iron Coal Brazier and the Iron Anvil Stump within reach, stand the Oak Quench Trough and Oak Quench Barrel nearby, line the wall with the Spruce Weapon Rack and the Oak Tool Rack and hang the Iron Trade Sign. Keep fuel and ore in the Oak Coal Bin and the Iron Ore Cart, tools in the Oak Tool Chest, and pave the floor with Sooty Forge Bricks. Every piece turns to face you when you place it and drops itself when broken.

Use the forge, the bellows, the brazier or the chimney hood to light it or let it go out; lit, it glows and lights the room. Use the trough or the barrel with an empty bottle or bucket to fill it with water. The weapon rack, tool chest, coal bin and ore cart store 27 stacks each: use one while holding a plain stick to put away every stack in your main inventory, or with anything else to take them back. Your hotbar is never touched. Use the sign to change its emblem between an anvil, a hammer and tongs, and a horseshoe, the Spruce Armor Stand to change its suit between iron, chainmail and gold, and the Oak Tool Rack to hang horseshoes, tongs or hammers on it. The Oak Smith Stool and the Oak Sharpening Bench seat 1 player each; crouch to stand up.

The forge and brazier don't smelt anything, the anvil stump doesn't repair, and the grinding wheel and sharpening bench don't sharpen tools. The armor stand and the tool rack only show their designs; they don't hold your armor or tools. Breaking a storage piece drops everything inside it, and pistons can't move storage pieces or seats.

  • 18 smithy pieces, each placeable facing 4 directions
  • 4 pieces that light up: the forge hearth, the bellows, a coal brazier and a hanging chimney hood
  • 4 storage pieces holding 27 stacks each: a weapon rack, a tool chest, a coal bin and an ore cart
  • A quench trough and a quench barrel that fill bottles and buckets with water
  • A trade sign with 3 emblems, an armor stand with 3 suits (iron, chainmail and gold) and a tool rack with 3 sets of tools to cycle through
  • 2 seats: a smith's stool and a sharpening bench

How to install Blacksmith Forge

  1. Import the .mcaddon, then turn on both packs in your world's settings (Behavior Packs and Resource Packs). No experiments are needed.
  2. Craft each piece at a crafting table. Forge hearth: 3 bricks, 1 furnace and 1 block of coal. Bellows: 2 leather, 1 oak planks, 1 iron nugget and 1 coal. Quench trough: 3 oak planks, 1 cauldron and 1 iron nugget. Weapon rack: 2 spruce planks, 1 iron sword and 1 chest. Tool chest: 2 oak planks, 1 chest, 1 iron ingot and 1 iron nugget. Smith stool: 1 oak slab, 2 sticks and 1 leather.
  3. Grinding wheel: 2 stone, 1 smooth stone slab and 1 stick. Trade sign: 2 iron nuggets, 1 spruce sign and 1 black dye. Coal bin: 1 oak slab, 1 chest and 3 coal. Ore cart: 1 minecart, 1 chest, 1 raw iron and 1 cobblestone. Armor stand: 1 armor stand, 1 spruce planks, 1 iron ingot and 1 leather.
  4. Coal brazier: 1 iron bars, 1 iron nugget and 2 coal. Sharpening bench: 2 oak slabs, 1 flint, 1 leather and 1 stick. Quench barrel: 1 barrel, 1 bucket and 1 iron ingot. Anvil stump: 1 oak log, 3 iron ingots and 1 iron nugget. Sooty forge bricks: 4 blocks of bricks and 1 charcoal make 4.
  5. Chimney hood: 3 iron ingots, 1 brick and 1 coal. Tool rack: 2 oak planks, 1 stick and 2 iron nuggets.
  6. Each piece faces you when you place it, so stand on the side its front should face. To turn a piece later, break it and place it again.
  7. Use a piece (right-click on Windows, tap on touch screens) to work it: light the forge, the bellows, the brazier or the chimney hood, fill a bottle or bucket at the trough or barrel, change the sign's emblem, the armor stand's suit or the tools on the rack, or sit on the stool or bench. Crouch to stand up from a seat.
  8. Hold a plain stick and use the weapon rack, tool chest, coal bin or ore cart to store the stacks in your main inventory. Use it with an empty hand or any other item to take them back; whatever doesn't fit stays inside.
  9. Crouch when you place a block against a piece, so you don't use the piece instead.
