What it does

Floor your deck with timber decking, edge it with a railing, a corner post and a step down to the grass, then set out the three things an evening outside needs: a deep slatted hot tub with a padded cover, a sunken fieldstone fire pit and a full pool table with a cue rack for the wall. A covered gas grill, a stone-topped prep counter, a cooler chest and a firewood rack make the cooking end; two sun loungers, a corner bench, a canvas parasol, a side table and a striped outdoor rug make the sitting end; a raised planter, a corner planter, a run of string lights and a bug lantern finish it off. Every piece turns to face you when you place it and drops itself when broken.

Use the hot tub to start or stop its jets, the fire pit to light it or put it out, and the string lights or the bug lantern to switch them. Use the parasol to change its canopy between 3 canvases. The two sun loungers and the corner bench seat 1 player each; crouch to stand up. The cooler chest and prep counter store 27 stacks each: use one while holding a plain stick to put away every stack in your main inventory, or with anything else to take them back. Your hotbar is never touched, and breaking a storage piece drops everything inside it. The hot tub's water is part of its model, not real water: you can't swim in it or fill a bottle or bucket from it. The lit jets and the fire pit give light but don't warm you, cook food or set anything alight, and the covered grill, the pool table and the cue rack are decoration — there is no game of pool to play on it. A seat is not a spawn point, pistons can't move storage pieces or seats, and the parasol and string lights are solid from the floor up, so you can't walk under them.

  • 23 timber deck pieces, each placeable facing 4 directions
  • Hot tub with lit jets at light level 8 and a fire pit at 12, both switchable
  • String light run at light level 15 and a bug lantern at 12, both switchable
  • 3 seats and 2 storage pieces holding 27 stacks each
  • Full pool table with a cue rack, a covered grill, a prep counter and a parasol with 3 canopies
  • Timber decking block that crafts 4 at a time

How to install Backyard Deck

  1. Import the .mcaddon, then turn on both packs in your world's settings (Behavior Packs and Resource Packs). No experiments are needed. Needs Minecraft Bedrock 1.26.45 or later.
  2. Craft each piece at a crafting table. A recipe appears in the recipe book once you pick up its main material: an oak fence for the loungers, bench, parasol, string lights, prep counter, cue rack, railing, post, step and decking, a water bucket for the hot tub, its cover and the cooler chest, smooth stone for the fire pit, grill, side table and firewood rack, and terracotta for the pool table, bug lantern, planters and rug.
  3. Each piece faces you when you place it, so stand on the side its front should face. To turn a piece later, break it and place it again. The hot tub stands a full block tall: place its cover in the block directly above it to close the tub, or set the cover down beside it.
  4. Use a piece (right-click on Windows, tap on touch screens) to work it: sit on a lounger or the bench, start the hot tub jets, light the fire pit, switch the string lights or the bug lantern, or change the parasol canopy. Crouch to stand up from a seat.
  5. Hold a plain stick and use the cooler chest or prep counter to store the stacks in your main inventory. Use it with an empty hand or any other item to take them back; whatever doesn't fit stays inside.
  6. Crouch when you place a block against a piece, so you don't use the piece instead.
