What it does

Lay a course of hewn stone plinths, stand carved corner posts on them, and fill the walls between with timber-framed panels, whitewashed daub and woven wattle. Cut in a leaded diamond window, hang heavy oak shutters beside it, and jetty an oriel window out over the street. Set an iron-banded plank door under a stone arch or a timber canopy, add a stone step at the threshold, run a wrought iron railing along the balcony and a turned oak balustrade up the stairs, then finish the roof with slate trim, a thatch eave and a carved bargeboard. Inside, brace the gable with a truss, run exposed ceiling beams overhead, hang a built-in wall cupboard, and light the room with a hanging iron lantern and an iron wall sconce. Every piece turns to face you when you place it and drops itself when broken, and 11 of them craft in twos or fours so a whole wall or roof edge costs one trip to the crafting table.

These are parts to build with, not a finished house: no building appears on its own, and every piece is a solid block, so the arches, glazing and door openings are shaped into the model rather than being holes you walk or see through. Five parts do something when you use them; the other 19 are decoration and only stand where you put them. Use the leaded window to change its glazing between diamond quarries, rectangular lights and a traceried top. The hanging lantern and wall sconce start lit; use one to put it out or light it again. The wall cupboard stores 27 stacks: use it while holding a plain stick to put away every stack in your main inventory, or with anything else to take them back. Your hotbar is never touched, and breaking the cupboard drops everything inside it. The stone step seats 1 player; crouch to stand up. A seat is not a spawn point, the lantern and sconce give light but don't cook anything, and pistons can't move the cupboard or the step.

  • 24 medieval building parts, each placeable facing 4 directions
  • Hanging iron lantern at light level 14 and iron wall sconce at 12, both switchable
  • Leaded window with 3 glazing patterns you change in place
  • 1 wall cupboard holding 27 stacks and 1 hewn stone step that seats a player
  • 11 parts crafted 2 or 4 at a time, including wall panels, plinths, quoins and roof trim
  • Parts you place yourself, not a house that builds itself

How to install Medieval House Parts

  1. Import the .mcaddon, then turn on both packs in your world's settings (Behavior Packs and Resource Packs). No experiments are needed. Needs Minecraft Bedrock 1.26.45 or later.
  2. Craft each part at a crafting table. A recipe appears in the recipe book once you pick up its main material: dark oak planks for the windows, door, shutters, wall panels, daub wall, cupboard, railing, balustrade, bargeboard and wattle panel; dark oak logs for the lantern, gable truss, corner post, ceiling beam, door canopy and thatch eave; stone bricks for the plinth, quoin, arch and arch niche; and cobblestone for the stone step and slate roof trim.
  3. Each part faces you when you place it, so stand on the side its front should face. Hang the lantern under a ceiling block; put the sconce, cupboard, windows, shutters, bargeboard and arch niche against a wall; and set the door canopy, roof trim and thatch eave at the edge of a roof. To turn a part later, break it and place it again.
  4. Use a part (right-click on Windows, tap on touch screens) to work it: change the leaded window's glazing, put out or light the hanging lantern or wall sconce, or sit on the stone step. Crouch to stand up.
  5. Hold a plain stick and use the wall cupboard to store the stacks in your main inventory. Use it with an empty hand or any other item to take them back; whatever doesn't fit stays inside.
  6. Crouch when you place a block against a part, so you don't use the part instead.
