What it does

Sink stilt posts and cross-braces under a platform of bleached decking, clad the walls in silvered driftwood or whitewashed shiplap, then finish the front: a screen door in its own jambs, a shuttered window, a wide picture window, a corrugated awning and roof trim above them, and a rope railing running along the veranda beam. Dress the deck with a bench, a step, a deck box, a built-in locker, an outdoor shower, a surfboard rack, a cane privacy screen, a window box of dune grass, a piling with a brass cleat and a gable vent for the roof. Every piece turns to face you when you place it and drops itself when broken.

The deck box and built-in locker store 27 stacks each: use one while holding a plain stick to put away every stack in your main inventory, or with anything else to take them back. Your hotbar is never touched, and breaking a storage piece drops everything inside it. Use the hurricane lantern or the deck post light to switch it, the shuttered window to tilt its slats through 3 positions, and the outdoor shower with an empty bottle or bucket to fill it with water. The deck step and deck bench seat 1 player each; crouch to stand up. You build the house; the pack only gives you the parts to build it from. The screen door and shutters are decoration and don't swing open, the shower makes no water block, and pistons can't move storage pieces or seats.

How to install Beach House Parts

  1. Import the .mcaddon, then turn on both packs in your world's settings (Behavior Packs and Resource Packs). No experiments are needed. Needs Minecraft Bedrock 1.26.45 or later.
  2. Craft each piece at a crafting table. A recipe appears in the recipe book once you pick up its main material: stripped oak logs for the screen door, stilt posts, cross-brace, veranda beam, lantern, deck light, gable vent and driftwood cladding, pale oak planks for the windows, decking, step, bench, deck box, locker, window box and shiplap panel, bamboo planks for the rope railing, surfboard rack and cane screen, and sandstone for the roof trim, awning, outdoor shower and piling.
  3. Build the shell yourself from the cladding, decking and shiplap blocks, then set the windows, door, railing and trim into it. Each piece faces you when you place it, so stand on the side its front should face. To turn a piece later, break it and place it again.
  4. Use a piece (right-click on Windows, tap on touch screens) to work it: sit on the deck step or bench, switch the hurricane lantern or the deck post light, tilt the shutter slats, or fill a bottle or bucket at the outdoor shower. Crouch to stand up from a seat.
  5. Hold a plain stick and use the deck box or built-in locker to store the stacks in your main inventory. Use it with an empty hand or any other item to take them back; whatever doesn't fit stays inside.
  6. Crouch when you place a block against a piece, so you don't use the piece instead.

Which version do I have?

Minecraft Bedrock shows its version number in the bottom-right corner of the main menu. Everything on ModChest is built for Bedrock 1.26.45 and newer, on Android, iPhone, iPad and Windows. If your number is lower, update Minecraft from the store you installed it from, then import the mod.
