What it does

These are building parts, not a finished house. Stand a black steel corner post at each corner, clad the walls in horizontal pale oak slats and board-formed concrete panels, then set floor-to-ceiling glazing, a ribbon window, a narrow door sidelight and a pale oak pivot door into them. Put a sliding glass panel onto a terrace, run a matte black steel railing or a frameless glass balustrade along an edge, float a stair tread and a cantilevered step, cap a flat roof with parapet trim and a steel roof edge beam, hang an entry canopy and a soffit downlight over the door, and finish the outside with a concrete planter wall, a slate paver path, an oak slat screen and a steel downpipe. Every part turns to face you when you place it and drops itself when broken.

Use the glazing to change its glass: clear, fritted, then smoked. Use the soffit downlight or the recessed step light to switch it. The built-in entry cabinet holds 27 stacks: use it while holding a plain stick to put away every stack in your main inventory, or with anything else to take them back. Your hotbar is never touched, and breaking the cabinet drops everything inside it. The window bench and the cantilevered step each seat 1 player; crouch to stand up. Everything else is decoration: the pivot door and the sliding panel don't open, window glass is solid, a seat is not a spawn point, and pistons can't move the cabinet or the seats.

  • 24 modern architecture parts, each placeable facing 4 directions
  • Floor-to-ceiling glazing with 3 glass treatments: clear, fritted and smoked
  • 2 switchable lights: a soffit downlight at light level 14 and a step light at 9
  • 1 built-in entry cabinet holding 27 stacks, plus a window bench and a step you can sit on
  • Oak slat cladding, board-formed concrete panels and slate pavers, 4 per craft

How to install Modern House Parts

  1. Import the .mcaddon, then turn on both packs in your world's settings (Behavior Packs and Resource Packs). No experiments are needed. Needs Minecraft Bedrock 1.26.45 or later.
  2. Craft each part at a crafting table. A recipe appears in the recipe book once you pick up its main material: glass panes for the glazing, sliding panel, ribbon window, sidelight and balustrade, iron ingots for the pivot door, railing, roof edge beam, corner post, pergola beam, stair tread, downpipe and slat screen, quartz blocks for the two lights, the entry cabinet, the planter wall and the slat cladding, and smooth quartz for the window bench, cantilevered step, parapet trim, entry canopy, slate paver and concrete panel.
  3. Each part faces you when you place it, so stand on the side its front should face. Place the soffit downlight against a ceiling and the roof edge beam and parapet trim along a roof edge. To turn a part later, break it and place it again.
  4. Use a part (right-click on Windows, tap on touch screens) to work it: change the glazing between clear, fritted and smoked glass, switch the soffit downlight or the step light, or sit on the window bench or the cantilevered step. Crouch to stand up from a seat.
  5. Hold a plain stick and use the entry cabinet to store the stacks in your main inventory. Use it with an empty hand or any other item to take them back; whatever doesn't fit stays inside.
  6. Crouch when you place a block against a part, so you don't use the part instead.
