What it does

Meadow Deer and Mosscoat Hares appear in groups of 2 or 3 on well-lit grass in forest and plains biomes. Hold wheat and deer follow you; hold carrots and hares do. You can also put them on a lead, and they never despawn, so the ones you bring home stay.

Feed 2 adults of the same kind to get a half-size baby that follows its parents and grows up after 20 minutes nearby, sooner if you feed it. Parents can breed again after 5 minutes. If wild ones are hard to find, craft a calling token to bring an adult to you. The animals never attack and drop nothing.

How to install Deer & Hares

Import the .mcaddon, then turn on both packs in your world's settings (Behavior Packs and Resource Packs). No experiments are needed. Needs Minecraft Bedrock 1.26.45 or later.
Explore well-lit grass in forest or plains biomes. The animals may be scarce where lots of other animals already live.
At a crafting table, combine 3 wheat, 2 oak leaves, 1 carrot and 1 copper ingot for a Meadow Deer Calling Token, or 3 carrots, 2 moss blocks, 1 wheat and 1 copper ingot for a Moss Hare Calling Token. Use a token on the ground (right-click on Windows, tap on touch screens) to call 1 adult.
Hold wheat to lead deer or carrots to lead hares, and use a lead for longer trips. Feed 2 adults of the same kind their food to get a baby.
