What it does

Walk through plains and forests by day to meet Gnomes in their pointed red hats, Hedgehogs in the forest and Ponies on the plains, or craft an egg and use it on a block to hatch one in your own garden. A carrot tames a Gnome: it follows you home, and when you use it with an empty hand it sits and stands still in your flowerbed like an ornament until you use it again. Sweet berries tame a Hedgehog the same way. Feed two tamed adult Gnomes, or two Hedgehogs, and they raise a half-size baby that grows up in 20 minutes. An apple tames a Pony, and once it is yours you can climb into its saddle and trot it round the village.

At night, Weed Goblins creep out of the plains and forests in groups of up to three and chase any player they see. When your garden is ready for a real fight, craft the Troll Bell and ring it to summon the Hedge Troll: it shows a boss bar, winds up each heavy swing, shrugs off most knockback and never despawns, and below half health it moves faster and hits harder. Pets and Ponies do not fight for you, and only one player can ride a Pony at a time.

How to install Garden Gnomes & Trolls

Activate both Garden Gnomes & Trolls packs when creating or editing a world. Needs Minecraft Bedrock 1.26.45 or later.
Look for Gnomes in plains and forests and Hedgehogs in forests by day, Ponies on the plains by day, and Weed Goblins in plains and forests at night.
Or craft an egg at a crafting table and use it on a block: a Gnome Egg from an egg, a carrot and a flower pot; a Hedgehog Egg from an egg, sweet berries and oak leaves; a Pony Egg from an egg, an apple and a hay bale; a Weed Goblin Egg from an egg, wheat seeds and a stick.
Use a carrot on a Gnome or sweet berries on a Hedgehog to tame it, then use it with an empty hand (right-click on Windows, tap on touch screens) to make it sit or stand. Feed two tamed adults for a baby.
Use an apple on a Pony to tame it, then use it with an empty hand to climb on. Steer with the movement controls and crouch to get off.
Craft the Troll Bell from 2 mossy cobblestone and a bone block, and use it on a block to summon the Hedge Troll. It drops 8 mossy cobblestone, 2 emeralds and 8 bone meal when defeated. A Pony drops 1 leather, and a Weed Goblin drops 2 wheat seeds and a stick.
