What it does

Find peaceful capybaras in small daylight groups on swamp grass, or craft a Capybara Reed to call one where you build. Offer a melon slice to tame it. A tamed capybara follows its owner, sits or stands when its owner interacts, accepts melon slices for healing and can be named or leashed.

Feed two standing adult capybaras melon slices to raise a half-size young that follows its parents and grows over time. Their broad low model, moss blanket, little orange charm and alternating walk animation are original to this pack. Capybaras avoid fights and do not attack players or mobs; they are social exploration pets rather than combat companions or storage animals.

How to install Capybara Companion

Activate both Capybara Companion packs when creating or editing a world. Needs Minecraft Bedrock 1.26.45 or later.
Search grassy swamp surfaces in daylight, or craft a Capybara Reed from bamboo, melon, copper and string and use it on a block.
Use a melon slice on an adult to tame it. Its owner can interact with an empty hand to switch between sitting and following.
Use melon slices to heal a pet or feed two standing adults for a young. Name tags and leads work normally.

Which version do I have?

Minecraft Bedrock shows its version number in the bottom-right corner of the main menu. Everything on ModChest is built for Bedrock 1.26.45 and newer, on Android, iPhone, iPad and Windows. If your number is lower, update Minecraft from the store you installed it from, then import the mod.
