What it does

The Ember Staff hits the monster you're aiming at, up to 11 blocks away, for 8 damage. The Gale Staff pushes back up to 6 monsters within 5 blocks of you, though mobs that resist knockback barely move. The Mending Staff heals up to 6 hurt players within 5 blocks, you included, by 4 health each. Spells only reach targets you can see, not ones behind walls, and they never hurt players or tamed pets.

Each cast costs 1 amethyst shard and 2 of the staff's 96 durability, so a staff lasts 48 casts. After a cast, all your staves wait before the next one: 6 seconds after Ember, 8 after Gale and 12 after Mending. If a spell finds no target, or everyone is already at full health, you keep your shard and durability.

  • Ember: 8 damage at up to 11 blocks
  • Gale: pushes back up to 6 monsters within 5 blocks
  • Mending: 4 health for up to 6 players within 5 blocks
  • 96 durability, 2 per cast, plus 1 amethyst shard
  • 6 to 12 second wait between casts

How to install Magic Staffs

  1. Import the .mcaddon, then turn on both packs in your world's settings (Behavior Packs and Resource Packs). No experiments are needed. Needs Minecraft Bedrock 1.26.45 or later.
  2. At a crafting table, combine 2 sticks, 2 copper ingots and 2 amethyst shards with blaze powder for an Ember Staff, a feather for a Gale Staff, or a glistering melon slice for a Mending Staff. Any arrangement works.
  3. Carry at least 1 amethyst shard, hold a staff and use it (right-click on Windows, tap Cast spell on touch screens). Aim the Ember Staff straight at a monster: if something else is in the way, nothing happens.
  4. Watch the message above your hotbar: it shows what the spell did, or why it didn't cast and that your shard was kept.

Which version do I have?

Minecraft Bedrock shows its version number in the bottom-right corner of the main menu. Everything on ModChest is built for Bedrock 1.26.45 and newer, on Android, iPhone, iPad and Windows. If your number is lower, update Minecraft from the store you installed it from, then import the mod.
